Nature Projects
I have worked on a few different design briefs that focus on nature and conservation. Examples of these are laid out below…
Forestry Commission
I was approached by a client on behalf of the Forestry Commission, who was looking for a pull up banner to promote the dangers posed to Oak Trees by the Oak Processionary Moth Caterpillars. The infographic needed to be bold, simplistic and convey the key messages to prompt the public to report any OPM sightings to the Forestry Commission.
We worked together trialling various ideas and layouts, using supplied imagery and the brand guidelines to create some options for the artwork. Check out the creative.
£1.4 Million Renovation of History
Drakes Place is a small green space within the city of Plymouth. It houses a reservoir where water used to be treated which ran down from Dartmoor through Drakes Leat, constructed in 1581.
While studying my BA degree in Graphic Communication with Typography at Plymouth University, the gardens were undergoing a £1.4 million renovation and the challenge was to create a piece of design, educating audiences on the history of the area and informing them about the development work. My design solution for the brief was to create a little pocket guide booklet which you would find in the nearby Plymouth University café and an accompanying poster to promote the work which the council did to return Drakes Place back to its original form. Take a look.
